I am an animator/previz/postviz artist , Originally from Israel and now a Candian Citizen based out of Vancouver, BC, working in the VFX and animation industry.
Before arriving in Vancouver, I worked for 4 years as a Flame artist doing comp and motion graphic work on Israeli TV commercials. This position taught me how to work directly with clients under strict time limitations, how to look at a movie frame as a whole, and how each frame of the movie could potentially be the poster.
In 2010 I moved to Vancouver to study animation at Vancouver Film School, and was subsequently worked at Rainmaker Studio, Bardel Entertainment and ICON creative studio. Working in all those different studios allowed me to be a part of several animated TV show productions including: Puss in Boots, Max Steel, Super Monsters, Kong: King of the apes, Tarzan and Jane, and Barbie Dreamhouse.
At the start of 2018 I expanded my skill as I was both hired as an instructor at LaSalle College, teaching 3D Animation, Acting and Pantomime as well as became a team lead at Rainmaker Studios. Being a teacher and a lead enriched my skill set. It taught me about my own strengths, how to express my thoughts clearly, and how to provide constructive critique.
In 2019 I began working on feature films and rediscovered my strengths in adapting StoryBoard into 3D environments and my organization skills. I took a PostVis Animator position at MPC for the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie. In this position, I was able to use my expertise while learning new animation skills in a new part of the pipeline, to build my portfolio. I was able to strengthen my planning and organizational skills, get on-set experience, as well as work closely with the director and the editor in LA on a major Hollywood production. Using those skills I was hired by Sony Imageworks back as a 3D animator working on both Angry Birds Movie 2, and the live action Mulan.
By the end of 2019 I was back to TV cartoons at Mainframe studios (formerly Rainmaker) to Lead a team of nine animators on the Dreamworks production of Madagascar: A little wild.
In 2001 (and currently) the In-House VFX team at Paramount brought me back to the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, this time as the in-house Previz and Postviz Animation Supervisor. I am trusted to helm many of the major sequences of the movie, while at the same time problem solving and planning complicated shots, and feel as though I am excelling in this role. I am proud of what I have delivered and look forward to showing it to the world.
I have had the opportunity to work with many talented directors and supervisors and I readily accept critique. Having worked under extreme deadlines, I am able to find quick solutions to unexpected problems and have a keen eye for detail.
As a Canadian citizen, I am eligible to work in Canada, and I reside in BC
